Martin J. Cunningham, CFA, Vice President and Portfolio Manager, began his tenure at Shay Assets Management, Inc. in 2004. From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Cunningham served as portfolio manager for Retirement System Investors, Inc. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager for Chase Manhattan Bank. Mr. Cunningham has previously served as an equity research analyst for Phoenix Investment Partners, and began his career in 1989 at Boston Financial Data Services as a mutual fund customer service representative.

Mr. Cunningham holds a B.S. from Westfield State College and an MBA from Western New England College. He is a member of the CFA Institute, and the Hartford Society of Security Analysts. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
